Louise Bridget Hoffman, 75, of Scranton, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Allied Hospice Center in Scranton. She was the wife of the late Richard Wayne Hoffman who passed away in 2009.
Louise was born September 12, 1949 in Scranton to the late Patrick and Esther Gardiner Anderline. After graduating from West Scranton High School. Louise went to work as a seamstress in local sewing factories in the Scranton area. She went back to school part-time nights at Penn State University, Dunmore and eventually went full-time to earn her nursing degree from Community Medical Center School of Nursing class of 87 . She would become a passionate and caring nurse, working in Moses Taylor Hospital’s Critical Care Unit in Scranton and also Allied Home Health & Skilled Nursing.
Louise was an avid bowler, having been a member of several leagues over the years. She enjoyed spending her time painting ceramics for the holidays loving Halloween the most. She loved traveling when she could with her close friend and former co-worker Debra Vierra
Surviving is her son William Hoffman and partner Mary Lou Dubranski of Scranton;
Grandchildren William and Robert Hoffman of Scranton, Jane Smith of Blakley
2 Great children Hannah McHugh and Richard Hoffman along with several nieces and nephews
Sisters; Margret “Peggy” Kozlowski of Florida, Tina Cook of Scranton
Brothers; Patrick, James of Tennessee, Peter and Sam of Scranton
She was preceded in death by her older brother, Nicholas Anderline of California
