Obituary

Lucy C. Summa, 80, Dunmore, died Tuesday evening in the Mid Valley Health Care Center in Peckville. 

Born in Scranton and a resident of Dunmore for the past 62 years, she was the daughter of the late William P. Jr. and Elizabeth Cosgrove Boland and a graduate of Scranton Central High School.  Prior to her retirement, she was an EKG Tech at Moses Taylor Hospital.  Most recently, she had been employed by Telespond as a caregiver.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed dancing, playing softball, and keeping up with everything going on in the lives of her family and friends on Facebook.  She also had her cat, Gibby, whom she adored.

Surviving is her daughter, Michelle Summa Faatz and husband Royce, Eynon; grandson Jesse Faatz and wife Staci, Taylor; her sister Molly Hartshorn, TX; brother William P. Boland, III and wife Valerie, Bethel, NY; niece Beth Ann, nephew Donald, and cousins. 

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday afternoon from 12-2 p.m. at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore. 

Interment will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
