Lucy M. Santarsiero, 98, died at home on Thursday, September 12th.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Santarsiero. She graduated in 1945 from Dunmore High School. She was employed for 25 years at Consolidated Molded Products. Before retiring, she worked for 11 years at Moses Taylor Hospital. She remained part of the Moses Taylor Auxiliary and was a volunteer in the surgical suite waiting room.
Lucy was raised in and a member of Green Ridge Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. At the time of her death, she attended Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Schubert Club, the Dunmore Community Chorus and the Singer's Guild. In 1958, she and the late Elaine Mahoney began a sacred music ministry and sang at numerous churches, conferences and special programs.
Surviving is a niece, Judith Phillips, Carlisle, PA; 2 nephews, Daniel Santarsiero, Cocoa Beach, FL and Jeffrey Santarsiero, Beaver Falls, PA, and their families.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Angelo, William, and Daniel.
The family will receive friends at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
A service conducted by Rev. Richard Bradshaw will begin at 11 a.m.
A private interment will be held in Dunmore Cemetery.
