Lynda Diane Kolebar, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, following a long illness at Complete Care at Wayne Hills, New Jersey. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 1967 to John Kolebar and Diane Sicher Kolebar, Lynda spent most of her life in Gouldsboro and Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.
Lynda's early life was marked by resilience. On September 9, 1969, she had the distinct honor of breaking ground alongside other dignitaries for the Easter Seal Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania Society of Crippled Children and Adults in Blakely, Pennsylvania. The following year, she proudly served as the 1970 Easter Seal Poster Child of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
A graduate of North Pocono High School, Class of 1985, Lynda pursued higher education at the Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where she studied to become a medical secretary. Her dedication and work ethic led her to a fulfilling career as a paralegal for David A. Howell, Esq., in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.
Lynda's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving parents, John and Diane Kolebar; her devoted sister, Joanne Kolebar-Sepinsky, Esq.; her brother-in-law, Jason Sepinsky; and her cherished nephew, Evan Sepinsky. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, The Rev. A. Clay Sicher and Estella Williams Sicher, and her paternal grandparents, Michael Kolebar Sr. and Anna Sestak Kolebar. She is also reunited with her beloved cat, Max, whose companionship brought her comfort and joy.
Lynda will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her kind heart, and her radiant smile that could brighten any room. Her warmth and compassion touched all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to be part of her life.
A private committal will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynda's memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania, where she was confirmed.
Lynda's life was a testament to resilience, love, and kindness. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
