Margaret Miller R.N., 89, formerly of Dunmore, passed away peacefully Saturday at Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, the late James G. Miller
Daughter of late Edward and Helen Cunningham Pidgeon of Jermyn, Margaret was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Olyphant and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Carbondale. She spent the majority of her career working at Mercy Hospital.
She is survived by her sister, Kathryn Lamoreaux and brothers, Tommy Pidgeon and wife Peggy and Eddie Pidgeon and wife Charlotte. She is also survived by 10 children, sons: Joseph, Eddie and Jimmy Miller and wife Linda and daughters, Ann Fischetti and husband Mike, Ellen Nole and husband Conio, Kathy Meade and husband Cory, Molly Drewes and husband Tom, Megan Dougherty and husband Brian, Jean Green and husband Chuck, and Erin Miller. She was blessed with 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy, Paul, and Francis Pidgeon.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 8:45 a.m.-9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Private interment at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Township.
