Marianne E. Ferrario passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at home. Her husband of 44 years, Gerard J. Ferrario, died in 2002.
Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Geno and Viola Passeri Giovagnoli. Marianne was a graduate of Blakely High School and Lackawanna Business School. She was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Center Auxiliary and a volunteer with the Little Sisters of the Poor at Holy Family Residence for many years.
Surviving are her children, Lisa Malos and husband, Jack; Gerard Ferrario and wife, Nadine; Joseph Ferrario; Lora Langan and husband, Joe. Also surviving are grandchildren, Nick, Alex, Marina Diakatos; Maria Kovaleski and husband, Ben; Gerard, Thomas and William Ferrario; Anne and Cecelia Ferrario; Emily, Molly, Owen and Mary Clare Langan; great-grandchildren, Briseis and Benjamin Kovaleski; one niece, three nephews and numerous cousins.
Marianne was predeceased by a sister, Anne Krohto; and infant great-granddaughter, Eleni Diakatos.
The family would like to thank Allied Hospice, Dan Reilly and his team, and caregivers Karen, Mary, Arlene and Geri for their service.
The funeral will be Thursday morning from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street in Dunmore. Entombment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call Thursday morning at the funeral home from 9-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
