Marie A. Fisch, 74, of Scranton died Monday evening. She was the wife of Robert W. Fisch. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in January.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Lillian Killian, she was a resident of Scranton for the past 55 years and was a graduate of South Scranton Central Catholic High School, class of 1969. She was an employee of Genetti Manor in Dickson City for 38 years. With her love of flowers, she was also employed by McCarthy Flowers for many years.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, Jackson Street, Scranton.
She was truly one of a kind; kind hearted with a radiant soul and always putting others first. She was affectionate, thoughtful, and loyal, lighting up every room with her gentle warmth. We will miss her dearly.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Kimberly Fisch-Lynn and husband, Victor, Scranton; Kelly Matone and husband, Michael, Throop; 4 grandchildren, Logan and Porter Matone, Makenzie and Kyleigh Hogan; a brother Robert Killian and wife Marie, Dunmore; a sister Susan Capozzi and husband Daniel, Clarks Summit; a sister in law, Sandra Ace and husband William, Scranton; nieces, Michelle Lipinski, Lori Drozdick, Jill Moyle, Cristin Oldfield and nephews, Chris Killian, Greg Killian and the late Robert Ace.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jack Weston.
The funeral will be Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am from St. Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson St, West Scranton.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30am until the time of mass.
Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
