Mary Kathryn Mackachinas, 74, of Scranton passed away Saturday at home. Her husband the late John P. passed away March 17, 2003.
Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Paul Thomas and Grace Harrison Moran. She was a graduate of Carbondale High School and prior to retirement she worked at SMK Merchandising in Olyphant as a line worker. She was a devout catholic and a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Pittston.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping especially from QVC. She was very close and devoted to her mother and was a sincere and quiet woman. She was close to her family and co-workers and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are brothers, Edward Moran and wife Diane, Scranton and Thomas Moran and wife Diana, Maryland; brother-in-law Stanley Mackachinas and wife Barbara; stepdaughter, Jennifer Cavalieri and husband Robert; A stepson, Mark Mackachinas and wife Kimberly; step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held at Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, Carl J. Savino, Jr., supervisor.

Inurnment, St. Casimir’s Cemetery in Pittston.
