Mary A. (Ackerson) Ziman

Mary A. Ziman passed away peacefully at 96 years of age, in the presence of her three daughters on October 23, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lillian Penner Ackerson, and her beloved husband of 66 years, Lewis B. Ziman.

Surviving are her three daughters: Terri Huskin (Bill), Carol Kadish (Gene), and Chana Heller (Rabbi Dov), along with 9 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Mary’s abiding love for her husband and family defined her. She wanted her daughters to have every opportunity that would nurture and enrich their lives. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grew up with a beautiful model of a fulfilling marriage and the blessings that love and devotion created.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 25th, at 1 p.m. in Temple Israel Cemetery, West Warren St., Dunmore, with her son-in-law Rabbi Dov Heller officiating.

There is no local shiva.
