Mary Ann "Cookie" Holzman

Mary Ann “Cookie” Holzman, 77, Moscow, died suddenly Thursday morning in Geisinger – Community Medical Center in Scranton. She and her husband David L. Holzman, Sr. had celebrated 56 years of marriage on February 6th.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Angela Chicco Falduto. She was currently a member of St. Eulalia’s Church in Elmhurst. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School and prior to retirement had worked for Vermont Sportswear in Taylor.
Cookie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and good friend who was always there for everyone she loved. She will be best remembered for her laughter, her kindness, and craziness but most of all for being a wonderful grandmother “Gee” who loved nothing more but to be with her grandchildren. Cookie also enjoyed celebrating New Year’s Eve, taking family vacations and spending time with friends at casinos.
Also surviving are a daughter Lynn Bull and husband Jeremy, Moscow, two granddaughters Alex Holzman and fiancé Ryan Buicko, Austin, TX, and Jaime Holzman and her fiancé Johnny Perry Jr., Dunmore, a grandson, Brody Bull, Moscow, a sister, Rose Ann DeSandis and husband Joe, Dunmore, a brother Larry Falduto, West Scranton, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.  
She was preceded in death by her beloved son David L. Holzman, Jr. on December 25, 2018, they are now reunited in heaven.
The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore with Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Eulalia’s Church in Elmhurst. Interment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Dickson City.
Friends may call Monday morning from 9AM-10:30AM in the funeral home.
