Mary Ann Maffullo

Mary Ann Maffullo, 73, of Dunmore, passed away Friday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.
Born in Scranton on April 11, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sarah Trozzolillo Maffullo and was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. She graduated from Dunmore High School and attained her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in elementary education from Marywood University. Prior to her retirement, Mary Ann was a dedicated and respected teacher at the Dunmore Elementary Center for 35 years where she enjoyed working with young children every day.  
Mary Ann loved her summers at her family lake cottage at Lake Wallenpaupack, spending time with family and friends. Working with and planting flowers was a summer hobby that she enjoyed.
Surviving are her loving sister and brother-in-law, Madelyn and Gary Smith, Jefferson Twp.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment, St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.
There are no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Ann’s name to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St., Dunmore, PA 18510.
