Mary Anne Bordo, 65, Dunmore, died Tuesday evening in Regional Hospital of Scranton surrounded by her family.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Caesar F. and Carmella M. Palmieri Bordo.
Mary Anne was a graduate of Dunmore High School Class of 1975 and worked for Lackawanna County as a secretary in Magistrate District Courts. She was also owner of Mary Anne Bordo’s Clothing Boutique, Manicure Magic and Dream Tan all in Dunmore.
Mary Anne will be remembered for being very sociable. She enjoyed dressing up and attending local shows, music concerts, picnics and festivals. Mary Anne was known for her joyful and kind hearted spirit. She will be extremely missed by her loving family and friends.
Surviving are a sister, Patty Condon, Dunmore, a brother James C. Bordo and companion Judith Cobb, Dunmore, nieces, Carmella Condon and Amanda Bordo both of Dunmore, Ashley Mulkerin, Peckville, and Brittany Condon, Scranton, and two nephews, Corey Condon and Caesar Bordo both of Dunmore.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St. Dunmore with a mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Chestnut St. Dunmore. Interment to follow in the Dunmore Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
