Mary Lou Lozinger

Mary Lou Lozinger, 83 years old passed under the care of Allied Services Hospice, she was the daughter of William and Mary(Samoles) Lozinger. A lifelong resident of Scranton, Mary Lou operated a beauty shop on Jackson Street, was owner of Mary Lou’s Cards and Gift Shop on Main Avenue and worked Gertrude Hawks retail until the time of her illness. Marylou was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church which gave her strength during her illness.

Mary Lou is survived by siblings Charles and wife Ika (Pittsburgh) with whom she enjoyed family time and Gail and husband Bob Coffman (Willow Grove) with whom she enjoyed vacations. Additionally, Sandy Morahan and Patty Rusinko (primary caretakers), Diana Lozinger (who was more like a granddaughter than niece), Virginia Royce Orr and Donald Royce and families, nieces/nephew (Ruth, Teresa, Amy, Abby and David) and many great and great, great nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou was proceeded by her brothers William and John.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10AM in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St., Scranton.  Interment, Cathedral Cemetery on Oram Street in West Scranton. Friends and family may call at the church from 9AM until the time of mass.
