Nancy M. Ferraro, 74, of Scranton, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She is survived by her husband, William P. Ferraro. The couple was married for 53 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret Babich Karanik and was a 1965 graduate of Dunmore High School, where she held the honor of being "Miss Buck." Prior to retirement, she was an administrator for UPS Supply Chain Solution.
In her teenage years she was a ballet and jazz dancer. She had a passion for flowers and gardening and will be remembered for all of her holiday meals. She was the head cheerleading coach at Baptist High School in Clarks Summit for six years. Nancy loved her family and had a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which was a very important part of her life. She will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Also surviving are daughters, Angelina Brown and husband, Michael, Jermyn; and Leah Truncali and husband, Jason, Dalton; grandchildren, Dean, Mikayla and Skyler Brown; and sisters, Marina Boylan and husband, Brian, Scranton; Margaret Ruddy and husband, James; and Celine Oakey and husband, Matthew, all of Florida.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday by Pastor Mark Stenuzi at 10:30 a.m. at the Dunmore Cemetery, 400 Church St., Dunmore. Inurnment, Dunmore Cemetery.
