Nicholas John Roman, 46, of Dunmore, passed away Tuesday. His wife is the former Leila Gasper.
Born in Scranton on November 2, 1978, he was the son of David and Emma Jean “EJ” Shyshuk Roman, Dunmore. He graduated from Dunmore High School in 1997 where he was Co-Captain of the track and cross country teams. He was also a drum major in the Dunmore High School Marching Band. He attended Shippensburg University. He was a Boy Scout for many years, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
Nicholas was a Senior Service Technician for Eastern Time Inc. and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Reese Street in Scranton.
Nicholas enjoyed Formula One Racing and was an avid New York Giants and Yankees fan. He was also a skilled Magic the Gathering player, qualifying and playing in the World Championship which took place in Spain.
Also surviving is a daughter, Liliana Roman of Dunmore; a sister Michele Roman of Spring City, PA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. by Reverend John Zimmerman, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Reese St. Scranton, in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 East Drinker Street, Dunmore.
The family will receive visitors from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
