Patricia B. Simrell, 84, of Moosic, died Sunday at Allied Services Hospice Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. "Jack" B. Simrell, on Oct. 15, 2012.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Edward and Helen Beckman, she was a graduate of South Scranton Catholic High School and prior to retirement was employed for many years by Fidelity Bank, Dunmore.
She was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church at St. Paul of the Cross Parish, South Scranton, and enjoyed the winters spent in Florida with her late husband.
In addition to getting together daily with her friends and fellow board of directors members, Mary Ellen Occhipinti, Karen Horger and Marie Brominski, for information sharing, she also enjoyed baking, trips to casinos, especially Las Vegas, and socializing with friends at Arcaro & Genell's Restaurant.

Surviving are a son, Jack and his wife, Cindy, Moosic; brothers-in-law, Joseph Simrell and his wife, JoAnn; Gerald Simrell and his wife, Cathy; and William Williams; sisters-in-law, Ann Burke, Helen and Mary Ann Simrell; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church at St. Paul of the Cross Parish 1221 Prospect Ave., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
