Patrick Thomas Nelson, 31, of Clarks Summit, passed away Sunday, May 22, after a brief illness.
Born in Fargo, N.D., son of Trudy Vokes-Nelson, Clarks Summit, and Bryan Alan Nelson and wife, Heather Whitesell, Clarks Summit, he was a graduate from Abington Heights High School, attended Penn State University and went on to work as a pharmaceutical financial analyst.
Patrick was the proud father to his little girl, Emmie Elizabeth Nelson, who he adored above all else. He loved taking Emmie on adventures and matching her silliness. She lit up Patrick's eyes and brought out the best in him. His devotion to family was evident and he could often be found in their company. Patrick's favorite place was sitting around the table at his Uncle Wil's camp in Clearfield, Pa., with his family, playing games and participating in joyful antics. He was kindhearted, quick witted, caring and boy, was he stubborn. Patrick was loved and will be missed deeply.
In addition to his parents and daughter, he is survived by his sisters, Breanna (Nelson) Miller and husband, Joshua, Pennsylvania; and Kaylee (Nelson) Lopez and husband, Alexander, Pennsylvania; his brothers, Alexander Nelson and partner, Laura Miller, Maryland; and Nickolas Termini, Clarks Summit; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Dorothy Vokes, Clarks Summit; paternal grandparents, Howard and Charlotte Nelson, North Dakota; nieces, Lexi and Marlo Lopez; as well as his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St. in Dunmore. Family and friends may call Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, Dalton, Pa.
