Paula Kuzmiak

Paula Kuzmiak, 87, of Hawley, passed away on August 12, 2025, at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center. Born in Hawley on October 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Rose Rubin Glantz. Paula was the wife of the late Michael Kuzmiak Jr.

A beloved member of the community, Paula dedicated her life to service, creativity, and compassion. She was a proud member of the Lion’s Club and generously volunteered her time at the Dorflinger Wildlife Sanctuary and Glass Museum, where her love for nature shone brightly.

Professionally, Paula was a talented hairdresser whose career spanned over 50 years. Her salon chair was more than a place of beauty—it was a space where friendships were formed, stories were shared, and laughter was abundant.

Paula found joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending time at the local senior center, doting on animals, and cherishing moments with her family. Her warmth and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by one cherished daughter, Michelle and her husband Bob Myers; her son, Mike Kuzmiak and his companion Deb Miller of Hawley; her brother, Eugene Glantz of East Stroudsburg; three grandchildren, Toni, Mikey and wife Brielle Kuzmiak and Nicholas Myers; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Dean and Easton Wells.

Paula was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Mann.

A private graveside service was held for Paula at Beth Israel Cemetery in Honesdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Dorflinger Wildlife Sanctuary and Glass Museum in White Mills.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St, Dunmore.
