Peter James Sileo, 79, of Dunmore, Pa., passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2024, at Dunmore Health Care Center in Dunmore, Pa., with his beloved wife of 54 years by his side. He was born on April 24, 1944, in Dunmore, Pa. Pete, as he was preferred to be called, was a loving, kind, generous, thoughtful and quiet individual.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Geri Miller Sileo; his son, Jason Sileo; his daughter, Tracey Squibb and her husband, Barry; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Squibb and wife, Krista; Brandon Squibb and wife, Ella; and Lauren Squibb. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter C. Sileo; his mother, Helen Kohut Sileo; and Jason’s fiancée, Amy Sleboda.
Pete attended Dunmore schools for his primary education. He also served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for six years, where he made significant contributions.
Pete spent more than 30 years working at RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics, and then at Moses Taylor Hospital, prior to retirement. His dedication and hard work were evident in his endeavors.
He was a man of great faith, and a lifelong active member of the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church in Scranton, where he served in many capacities including as a board member and a Royal Ranger commander for more than 25 years. He found solace and community in his faith.
In his free time, Pete enjoyed attending classic car shows, working on his 1966 Pontiac, building and collecting model cars, improving his home and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family and friends. His devotion to his loved ones was unwavering.
The family would like to thank Dunmore Health Care Center and HHCP Hospice for Pete’s end of life care.

We remember Pete as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed. May he rest with his Savior in eternal peace.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at noon at Green Ridge Assembly of God Church, 825 Green Ridge St., Scranton.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park.
