Robert "Buzz" Brown

Robert “Buzz” Brown, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday January 19, 2024.
Born in Pittson on February 13, 1932, to Kathryn Fitzsimmons and George Brown. A graduate of Scranton Central High School and East Stroudsburg State Teachers College, Buzz was also a veteran of the United States Army Air Force Corps.
His early career was in sales. He gave up sales in 1970, to teach and to spend more time with his beloved late wife Margie and his children. He ended his teaching career at Western Wayne High School in 1996.
Buzz is survived by sons Dr. Stephen Brown and wife Kathleen; and Robert ‘Buzz’ and wife Alyson; daughters Kathryn ‘KG’; and Judith and husband Bryan; and granddaughters Sarah and Colleen Brown.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Avenue and East Gibson Street, Scranton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Hospice of the Scared Heart, 100 William Street, Dunmore, PA 18510.
