Robert F. Ferranti, 67, of South Scranton, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Gertrude Costanzi Ferranti, Scranton, and the late Francis Ferranti. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and before retirement had been employed by both ConRail and the New Jersey transit system. Robert was a member of St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cathedral in Scranton. He was an outdoors enthusiast who loved hunting and fishing, and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and Oakland Raiders games. He also liked to play guitar. Above all, his family and especially his grandchildren were most important in his life.
Surviving are a daughter, Corissa Meehan and husband, Patrick, Fleetville; a son, Aaron Ferranti, Scranton; grandchildren, Ella "Al" Ferranti, and Aengus, Bodhi and Eva Amelia Meehan; his brother, Todd Ferranti and wife, Julee, Moscow; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation and funeral services were privately held, with interment in the Italian-American Cemetery in Minooka.
