Robert James Creegan, Sr., 72, Avoca, died Wednesday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Patrick (Joseph) and Mary Rogan Creegan, and prior to his retirement, he owned and operated a Pepperidge Farm bread route, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Robert enjoyed playing board games with his grandchildren and loved having holiday dinners with his son, daughter-in-law, and his grandchildren.
Surviving is his son and namesake, Robert James Creegan, Jr. and wife Nicole, Avoca; his sister Patricia Conroy, FL; grandchildren Audrina and Robert III (R.J.) Creegan; brothers Donald Creegan and wife Annette, Charles Creegan and wife Rosemarie, and Michael Creegan and wife Kathleen, all of NY; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary.
Private services have been entrusted to the care of Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, West Scranton. Carl J. Savino, Jr., Supervisor.
