Robert Joseph “Nappy” Napolitano, 64, of Tafton, Pa., passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2020, at Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after battling a strong fight with cancer.
Robert was born in Newark, N.J., on Oct. 15, 1956, to the late Amelia (Fresolone) and John Napolitano. Robert started in the workforce with Holmdel Twp. public works, spent time at Yellow Freight, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department as well as capturing outlaws as a bounty hunter. He ultimately ended up working for the United States Marshall Service in Scranton and Newark for the last 20 years.
“Nappy” had many passions but lived for martial arts where he was a 3rd degree black belt, receiving many awards and promotions. He earned much respect through the years teaching and mentoring. You could always find him cooking and watching Judge Judy, taking car rides, spending time with his grandchildren, tapping his foot to music “on the YouTube” and playing scratch-off tickets with his buddies from work.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff on 1 North at Allied Services for their continued care and support of their father, Robert.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children, Lyndsay and her husband, Jason, of Bucks County, Pa.; Serena of Tafton, Pa., and her mother, Jodi Trevean; four grandchildren, Madison, Katelyn, Kelsey and Hunter Somers; brothers, John and the late Katherine Napolitano of Newfoundland, Pa.; and Michael and Lettie Napolitano of Riverside, Calif.; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, John Napolitano, Amelia and Vincent Sheridan, and his sister, MaryLee Anderson.
Cremation will be private and a memorial service will be held at a later time due to the current state restrictions.
