Robert Zawisky, of Union Dale, passed away at Hospice of the Sacred Heart on December 20, 2021. He is survived by his companion for over 35 years, Gloria Vauter.
Born December 27, 1945 he was the son of the late Russel and Anna Shamro Zawisky. Bob grew up in Browndale and graduated from Forest City Regional. He then attended and graduated from Johnson College where he mastered his skills and moved on to build many beautiful kitchens in NEPA.
Bob was an avid hunter and spent a lot of his time hunting at one of his favorite places, The Pauline Farm. He also enjoyed playing golf and baseball in his younger years.
Bob is also survived by his sister Carol McCartney; daughters Debra Tedesco, Michelle (Joe) Tedesco and Jennifer (Jim) Praefke; grandchildren Kyle (Nikki) Tedesco, Lindsey (Jon) Miller, Alyvia, Blake & Evan Praefke; and great granddaughter Autumn Killino; several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Zawisky and his former wife, Kay Zawisky, who passed August 4, 2021.
Bob’s family would like to thank the staff at Mountain View Care and Rehabilitation Center and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the compassionate care they provided Bob while at each location.
Per Bob’s wishes the services will be private.
