Rose Marie Conrad, 86, of Scranton, passed away Saturday morning at Allied Services Hospice Center in Scranton. She was the widow of the late John P. Conrad Sr., who passed away on June 5, 2017. The couple had been married for 61 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Lorraine Yuskanice Cadwalder. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and, before retirement, she was an LPN nurse at Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish in North Scranton.
Rose’s favorite pastime was chatting on the phone with family and friends for hours, and was known to many as “five-minute Rosie” for her quick coffee stops. She enjoyed cooking, going to family gatherings and parties. Most of all, she loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her daughter, Jaclyn Honeycutt and husband, William, Scranton; sons, Joseph Conrad and wife, Diane, Scranton; William Conrad, Springville; John Conrad Jr., Duryea; grandchildren, Jennifer Bielawne, John Conrad III, Paul Conrad, Dale Honeycutt, Nicole Murray, Cody Honeycutt, Joseph Conrad Jr., Jaimie Lynn Conrad and Kevin Conrad; great-grandchildren, Caeleb Breymeier, Aubrielle and Ethan Murray, Dante and Axel Honeycutt, and Luna and Kevin Conrad; a sister, Betty Ann Entrot, Scranron; brothers, Rick Cadwalder Wells and wife, Ruth, Morton Grove, Illinois; Roy Cadwalder and wife, Sharon, Des Plaines, Illinois; William Cadwalder, Scranton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward J. Conrad; sisters, Patricia Barth, Lorraine Darko and Diane Edwards; and brothers, Leon and Preston Cadwalder.
The funeral will be Friday from Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, 316 William St., Scranton.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
