Rose Nehme, 90, of Taylor, passed away peacefully on Monday morning at home. She is survived by her husband, Philip J. The couple were married for 70 years.
Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Trygar Maciborski and was a graduate of Old Forge High School. She was a member of St. Ann Maronite Church and it’s Our Lady Queen of Peace Sodality.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing Bingo. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Also surviving are children; Philip Nehme and wife Lynda, Smithfield, VA, Michaelene Vakay and husband Ron, Dalton, Roseanne Nehme, Old Forge and Stephen Nehme and partner Deb Boylan, Scranton.
Grandchildren; Joseph Nehme, Elizabeth Buhrman, Kathryn Donaldson and husband Jefferson, Nicholas Vakay and Ian Vakay, Joshua Snodgrass and wife Raven, Sara and Kalli Snodgrass, Sam Snodgrass and wife Jocelyn, Jacob Nehme and Zachary Nehme. Great-grandchildren; Jackson Nehme, Connor Buhrman, Hazel and Mason Donaldson and Wren Mae Snodgrass.
She was preceded in death by brothers; William, Daniel, Mack and Joseph Maciborski. Sisters; Dolores Kulpak and Frances Dipipi.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Very Reverend Msgr. Francis J. Marini on Saturday at 11:00am at St. Ann Maronite Church, 1320 Price St. West Scranton.
Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery.
