Rose Marie (Zabka) Avery

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Marie (Zabka) Avery after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma and bone marrow cancer.

Born on July 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John and Viola Bobola. 

She is survived by her son John Zabka and Chris, MD; her sister and caretaker JoAnn Volinsky and husband Ron, Scranton; grandson J.D. Wilcox, Scranton; niece Donna Houlihan and husband Michael, Dunmore; nephew John Paul Volinsky and wife Stacey, Jermyn; and her beloved dog, Bella.

Preceding her in death was her daughter, Audrey Lynn Wilcox Zabka; as well as her late husbands John Zabka and John Avery.

Arrangements will be private at the convenience of the family.
