Saul Ziman Obituary

Saul Morton Ziman, age 94, passed away peacefully in Ewing, New Jersey.

Born on October 7, 1930, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Saul was the son of Meyer Ziman and Teresa Weinberg Ziman. He was raised in the Ziman Funeral Home, where he gained an early appreciation for community and compassion. Saul graduated from Scranton Technical High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy.  Saul was the sole proprietor of Abington Monument Co, famously known for its sign “Drive carefully we can wait“. 

He married Sandra Weber and together they built a loving home and family. Saul is survived by his children: David Ziman (Merle) of Highland Park, NJ; Amy Druker (Conrad) of Lawrenceville, NJ; and Michael Ziman (Jennifer) of Walnut Creek, CA, as well as six grandchildren and three great grandchildren who were a great source of pride and joy. His brother, Lewis B. Ziman, preceded him in death.  

In his later years, Saul shared his life with Florence Lewis of Boca Raton, Florida. Together, they spent their days in a close-knit community enjoying many games of Canasta and socialization.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 30 at 1:30pm at Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 East Drinker Street, Dunmore, PA with interment to follow in at Temple Israel Cemetery, Dunmore, PA.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood House, 53 South Walter Street, Ewing, NJ 08628, in appreciation of the care and comfort they provided him.

Shiva will be observed Tuesday, July 1, 2-5pm and 7-9pm at the residence of Amy Druker, 5 Hedge Row Court, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Saul will be remembered for his quick wit and many one liners.
